DC had a good week this week. This week wasn’t a very crazy week. Just one big reveal. The one thing that did happen was the beginning of the Lazarus Contract in Titans #11. There will be spoilers ahead so be warned… Deathstroke is trying to access the speed force in order to travel back in time to resurrect his son, Grant. BOOM! Bombshell dropped. Deathstroke has captured both Wally West’s in order to get them to go back. This is the beginning of a very strong crossover and a fitting homage to the original Judas Contract. This crossover will continue in Teen Titans, Deathstroke and a one shot Lazarus Contract issue. Other great comics to read this week are: Detective Comics, Action Comics, Red Hood and the Outlaws, Wonder Woman and All-Star Batman.
Marvel also had a decent week. Nothing groundbreaking but a strong week, nonetheless. Many strong issues came out this week. The majority of them were the X-Men comics from this week, such as: X-Men Blue, Weapon X and All-New Wolverine. These are all well drawn and well written issues that make the X-Men relevant again. The comic I want to talk about is the start of the new Star Wars crossover: The Screaming Citadel. I love Star Wars, it is a defining part of my childhood, so being able to see the new universe expanding is awesome. This issue wasn’t crazy but fantastic artwork helped push this issue to the next level. I am excited to see how this crossover can push Luke Skywalker to better himself and how it expands the rest of the universe. Also check out: Old Man Logan, Rocket, Secret Warriors, Avengers, Uncanny Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man and Deadpool.
