Big news for the new Terminator movie that's on its way by bringing back of the franchises biggest heroines Linda Hamilton.
Earlier this week it was revealed that Hamilton, who played Sarah Connor in the first two films, will be returning to the franchise for the next movie installment.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cameron made the announcement of Hamilton's return at a private event this week.
"As meaningful as she was to gender and action stars everywhere back then, it's going to make a huge statement to have that seasoned warrior that she's become return," Cameron said.
"There are 50-year-old, 60-year-old guys out there killing bad guys, but there isn't an example of that for women," he said.
Cameron is being a producer this time for the film but Deadpool filmmaker Tim Miller is set to helm the project as director. After creating the story, Miller and Cameron created a writers room consisting of David Goyer, Charles Eglee, Josh Friedman and Justin Rhodes. Also there was mention that Alrnold Schwarzenegger is also set to appear in the film but not as much as you saw him in Terminator: Genysis.
All in all, very excited for this news and hopefully more good news to come on the way for the next Terminator movie. Stay tuned for more Nerd News.
