Marvel Comics had revealed some details on it's next soft reboot call Legacy. At Chicago's Comics and Entertainment Expo Marvel Promised to return back to it's roots with this new launch title.
Marvel Legacy is intended to be a new starting point for new readers and a fresh start to the veterans of comic book reading with a Marvel Legacy #1, a 50-page one-shot written by Jason Aaron and art by Esad Ribic to start this off. This is introduce new plots and mysteries in the Marvel Universe, including the return of some pretty popular Marvel characters.
“The Marvel Legacy initiative is a celebration of everything that makes Marvel the best in fiction and it’s a signifier of a new era for Marvel Comics,” says Quesada. “It’s a loving look at the heart of Marvel as we embrace our roots and move enthusiastically forward with all the Marvel characters you know and love starring in the biggest, boldest, best Marvel stories. All of which kicks off with the giant Marvel Legacy special.”
This also means that this Legacy shift will also bring back legacy numbers to each of the comics, which marvel has been keeping track even though they have been re-launching to a new #1 every couple of years.
