One question that's on everyone's mind when a new super hero TV is what universe is the series connected to? is it part of the DCEU or its own stand alone universe telling it's own story. With executive producer of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice David S. Goyer being credited as the creator of Kryton and also wrote the pilot episode and serving as one of the executive producers on the show as well, we're hoping so. Fan also notices that the House of El symbol is near identical to the Man of Steel crest on Superman's chest but that could just be asthetics.
No connection has been announced yet but we did hear that plenty of characters from DC will show up in this show as said by Chris McCumber, President of Entertainment Networks for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. "definitely contain other DC comics characters in the Krypton world." As to avoid spoilers, McCumber didn't mention who exactly would appear, but he did note that SYFY has "had plenty of talks with Warner Bros." about the use of multiple characters.
Now to the good concrete stuff, After SYFY and NBCUniversal saw the pilot episode of Kryton they have decided to move forward with a full series. Only the first episode is complete with the series currently beginning production on the rest of the season. McCumber stated there was no "official release" for the series release but his best guess would be "Q1 2018 at the earliest". If all goes smoothly we'll be getting our taste of Kryton late 2017, early 2018 in the midseason window. For more Nerd News keep it right here at Nerdz with Wordz.
